In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to edit the page title in WordPress when using the Thesis Framework.
In short, right below the WP visual editor, there is an editable field named “Title Tag / Custom Title Tag”. Whatever you type in there becomes the title of the page, as displayed in the browser (search engines will pick that up too). Remember to keep it down to 70 characters or less, for SEO purposes.
If you are wanting to edit the title that appears on the home page, you should change that in the WordPress Admin > Settings > General. Edit the fields “Site Title” and “Tagline”.
